The one thing that always set WordPress.com apart from Blogger.com was that WordPress provided an option for bloggers to include static pages within their blog.

It was a feature that users of the Blogger platform continuously requested that Blogger add.

Blogger finally listened to its users and added the option to create static pages.

Then was a very wise move for Blogger.

Static pages are great for adding things like an about you page, a contact me page or an disclaimer page.

To add a pages to your blog:

Login and from the Dashboard go to layout, then page elements.

Add a Gadget and choose “Pages.”

Pages Setup

Click Save

In layouts, reposition the gadget to the top of your blog right under the header or you can keep it where it is in your sidebar.

From the Dashboard, go to Posts. Here you will see “Edit Pages.”

Click “Edit Pages” and there you can create a new page.

You can add up to 10 stand-alone pages such as an “About Me” page.

Click on new “page” and then create a page just as you would create a post.

If you click on post options you can turn off reader comments for your pages.

This is great information, Rose. The only problem with Blogger [still] is their pages don’t necessarily work correctly with non-Blogger provided themes. It’s still a step in the right direction.
