Setting up a Blog
WordPress and Blogger are the two most popular blogging platforms. Many people choose Blogger over WordPress for its ease of use. In this tutorial I’m going to show you how to create a blog with Blogger.
Go to the Blogger website.
Click on create a blog
From that page you will be taken to a page to create a Google account. (If you already have a Google account, you can sign in to Blogger with your Google account or continue to create one.)
Next you’ll be taken to a page asking you to name your blog.
After you have named your blog choose an address for your blog. This should be something short an easy to remember. If the address you want is already taken consider adding a dash.
Ex: Blogger-talk
Once you have completed these steps, click “Continue.”
Choose a template for your blog from the template gallery. (You can change your template later, and even customize it with the Template Designer.)
Click continue.
Next you can start posting or customize how your blog looks.
I have chosen “customize how your blog looks by clicking on the link.”
Next: I’m taken to the “Blogger Template Designer.”
From here you can choose your template.
Your choice of layout
Choose from a wide variety of backgrounds.
Once you have made the changes to your blog’s design click on “Apply to Blog” in the top right corner.
Now click on back to blogger.
You are now ready to write a blog post.
As soon as you make your first post, your page will appear at the address you’ve chosen.
