Are you looking to increase your Page Rank? Did you know that backlinks play a very big role in Google's pagerank algorithm? Backlinks are incoming links to your blog. There are several ways to get backlinks to your blog. Let's get started.
Forum Signatures: Most forums allow a user to add a signature tag to
their posts. Signature tags allow you to promote your blog and by doing this you
will also increase your link popularity. Be sure to use keywords in your anchor
text. For example: If your blog is about blogging tips, then you would use
‘Blogging Tips’ as the anchor text and link the word Blogging Tips to your blog.

Directories- Submit your blog to blog directories. Be sure to check out
the directory before you submit as some directories only pass traffic not
Pagerank.
Article Submission - Write Articles to promote your blog. When you write
an article and submit it to an article directory, the directory allows you to
have a resource box. In the resource box you include information about yourself
and a link back to your blog. Webmasters are constantly in search for quality
content for their website. Each time someone uses your article on their website
or blog, it's a link back to your blog.
Comments- Become an active commenter on a Wordpress blog that has the top
commenter plugin enabled. The plugin displays the top 5-10 commentators. This is
a free backlink to you.
Guest Blogging- There are always bloggers looking for guest Bloggers to
blog for them when they are busy or on vacation. By guest blogging not only are
you helping out another blogger, but you are gaining exposure for your blog, and
you are receiving a link back to your blog.
Link Out- Be generous with your links. Link to other blogs. Passing on the
linky love has a way of paying off.
There you have it: six tips on increasing links to your blog, which also helps
increase your Page Rank. Personally I have found that the best way to get links
is to focus more on blogging, and creating valuable content. I have gained a
fair amount of backlinks just by blogging, being helpful and getting to know
other bloggers.
