I'm coming up on a drastic change from a PR3 down to a PR2 over the last 24 hours. LivePR FF plugin, PPP site stat check (always showed accurate prior), and a few PR check sites.
FYI, can't find anyone online at the time to confirm, so I don't want to start a furvor...maybe it's a glitch, but maybe it happened. If it did, what happened to yours?  |

How fun, I just checked and you are right, it came up with a whole lotta nothin', but it will be fun to see it up there one day! I will keep checking every few weeks or so.

Cindy they do a PR update every three months so there is no use in checking until then.
John- From what's being reported this looks like a manually applied update with certain sites being penalized.
Many blogs took a big drops to their PageRanks. Bloggers like Darren Rowse, as well as businesses like the Washington Post took a decline in PageRank.
problogger.net PR6 > PR4
daily.stanford.edu PR9 > PR5
statcounter.com PR9 > PR6
washingtonpost.com PR8 > PR5
blogherald.com PR7 > PR4
Onemansblog.com PR8 > PR5
Is this a warning shot because of paid linking?
Many in the blogosphere are stating it is.
The text link selling theory doesn’t add up for me. There are many sites that did not see a drop in PageRank which sell paid links.

When I checked it, it said I didn't have a backlink. Do you know what that is and how to get one?

Hi,
I read everything and am still not clear. A lot of the places say to add a code to my page. Where on my page do I add this? When I pasted the codes on the HTML part, I just had words taking me back to the page I pasted it from. I am so confused. Oh, what is a widget? My head is just spinning from confusion...
