Is anyone else trying EntreCard, the new traffic generating system? I'm getting a little traffic from it - about 20 unique click throughs a day. It's my second day using it. I like it more than BlogRush. It uses 125 x 125 pixel e-cards you design yourself and advertise on other blogs by using credits earned in various ways on the entrecard site. It's neat because its' a picture, not just a text link. I'd like to know your thoughts about it.

Hey there, I just checked out your blog and am think its brilliant! I left a comment about a link from my site to yours. So is your entrecard thing on your blog? And also I guess you have to actively earn these credits on the site yes? Can it feel like a bit of a waste of time though like BlogExplosion?

Thanks Rockets! I'm glad you found my eavesdropping interesting. I responded to your comment, but yes a link would be great. I don't mind being on unrelated blogs if the blog itself is quality.
As for EntreCard, I find it to be nothing like BlogRush ( I think that's what you meant?). I get to place a 125x125 image ad on someone's blog for free all byitself as opposed to a text link on a list of other text links on blogs I hope reach my niche. With EntreCard, I pick the blog I want to advertise on. I have one going up on johncow.com which has over 800 subscribers. For free! Couldn't have afforded that otherwise. Check out the Entrecard site to learn how it works. I've found it to be fun and worthwhile. They just opened up forums, too.

Hi guys, glad you're enjoying EntreCard so far. I continue to love it! I was able to get my ad on Problogger last month and had 83 unique hits from that one ad alone.

I am interested in readers and not stats. Therefore, I have just removed it from my site. It takes up a fair bit of space on the page and really just didn't bring in readers for me. It brings in droppers and a shortlived rise in visitors. I got 90 unique hits a day for 2 days when I first installed Entrecard. I also got about the same amount of card drops. Coincidence?
Ongoing, I got maybe a small handfull of readers(3 or 4?) from using it. But not enough to justify all the work involved in dropping your card and buying ads, then checking out what site you should advertise on and are people commenting on these sites etc to gauge possible viewers. There are many easier ways to get traffic in my opinion.
