Recently, I discovered that the fact that it is a way to exchange information about a passion. Myself and several other Golden Dawn (an esoteric Order) members have started to keep blogs focusing on Golden Dawn, and our experiences inside that particular mystery tradition. We have also started to exchange links with one another, so that we can keep track of the blogs that we are interested in. It is a lot easier to exchange information this way than using websites and discussion forums.

Yes having a forum on which to express one's self is great----but I think for me its getting feedback good, bad or indifferent from total strangers, and learning that my thoughts are not to weird---that there are other wacko's out there ----and it beats watching reality shows on TV.

And when you are grouped together I think there's a greater chance of allowing others to learn about this spiritual path. Never anything wrong with that!
As for me, I'd have to say making friends has been beneficial for me through blogging.
