I'm beginning a blog on Wordpress and am reluctant to download the software so I'm just doing it online. But some necessary features seem missing from the online version. I cannot find out, for example, how to delete a category I have created, although in the instructions for those using the downloaded software it is mentioned.
My questions are:
Can anyone direct me to a summary of the differences between these two ways of using Wordpress? What are the limitations I am accepting by not downloading their software? What does the software cost? (I've searched their site, & googled, no luck)
Any Mac users care to comment on the intricacies and potential problems of installing Wordpress? (I use OS 10.4.11) I am already having to use Firefox rather than SAfari to utilize WP's online editor, and then run some posts through an offline blogging app to get photos aligned and sized as I want them, and get line breaks between paragraphs.
Is it possible to delete a category once created?
