Hi..
I think is good for blogger. You not only get fun with blog but you can also earn some money from that.
But we should do good placing for that ads. I use adbrite and been paid by pay check. So why not.

for me there's nothing wrong with ads as long as it won't spam your blog. i guess 3-5 ads is enough to be displayed in your blog and the ad units need not to be that big or else it might turn as a splog

| I also think there's nothing wrong adding ads on blog.. but make sure its not too much.. I think up to 3 ads are most suited.. personally, I don't like sites with lots of ads.. with pop-ups, slide-ins and those ads that are in between posts.. I prefer to put ads on the sidebars or maybe at the top or bottom.. |

Yeah they could be a good income source (if you're a big time blogger).,
or maybe gas money (who doesn't want free gas? lol.).,
A banner and a sidebar ad would be enough I think.,

I think a few discrete ads are fine. If someone is putting a lot of time and effort into making a good blog people want to read, its nice for them to get some reward for it.
When the ads dominate over the content though, it ruins things completely.
People who really don't like ads won't see them anyway 'cos they'll be using Firefox with noscript and AdBlockPlus

I am new to blogging in general, but at this early stage of experience with blogging, I have it in my head that, those blogs with a modicum of ads on them are----well successful blogs. a big step up from say lil blogs limited to jsut immediate family and a few friends as readers---by having an Ad ---kinda tells the world your grown up and adult----no longer have to wear short pants , have come of age-------but thats just this old dudes opinion.

When someone visits a blogsite, they're interested in that site's subject matter, so my thought is that if a few relevant ads appear on the site, those ads may contain items of interest for the reader, too. Besides, of course, bringing in revenue for the blog's author!
