OK, I think I'll be hanging in this forum for a while!
Thank you Rose for making a place for those just joining the blogging community!
My goal for today is to figure out the whole, "feed" thing... I'm not sure what this is. I see some blogs with the RSS feed button, and lots of discussion about it but I'm still unclear.
Thanks for your help!
Jennifer

Hi Rose...
Thank you as always for your help on this.
So... I have ATOM but do I need something else? Is this one feed good enough? In one of the articles I read it suggests downloading demonfeed or some other rss feed software... do you suggest I do this?
IOW, does it do any good to have multiple feeds or is ATOM enough?
It is nice to have you back!

All of the above is good info.. You should really read it and internalize it. RSS is not going away and will be a more and more important component of the Internet to understand. _________________ Make money from Amazon, eBay, CJ and Google with a Turnkey Web Site from IncomeStores.com |

You have most likely seen the subscribe to atom on new beta blogs. The subscribe to atom is your blogs atom feed. People can subscribe to your blog using a newsreader such as Bloglines, Rojo, NewsGator, Google Reader, blogrolling, del.icio.us etc which is software that allows them to read your syndicated content from any of those websites without having to visit your blog.
Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia has an extra description of RSS.
Sharon Housley article "What are RSS Feeds?" should better explain things.
RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication. Your blog publishes an RSS feed. http://christmasdubai.blogspot.com/atom.xml
