OK first it decides to make the font on the sidebar huge...without me touching it at all.

Now, when you hit the site it all looks maroon while it opens the photos and then turns the correct colors. For slower connection users, they would probably just move on to a page they can read

Hello David

Did you edit something in the CSS Stylesheet or in any of the files?

When I look at the source for the side nav I still see the CSS class but its not comforming!

Always make a backup of the file your editing that way if you make a mistake you can go back to the original!

not conforming?? Huh?

Is that code you wrote a fix of some kind?

The only thing I attempted was to chnage the colors of the fonts. Nothing else. Of course, that was before I started spending time on these forums, so who knows what happened

When I load the page it comes in all black then the header font comes in next then it comes in all at once!

Looking at the source code shows alot of font class tags, by any chance are you using an editor to write your post?

Microsoft Word or MS Word? and then pasting it into wordpress before posting?

Does that code indicate a problem of some kind? I'm still not following you on what can be done to fix the problem.

Yes, What I generally do is write it in word and then paste into the wordpress box. Bad idea?

Oh yeah, its fine to write it in Word or MS Word but before pasting it to WordPress open up notepad and past it on there first then copy and past it to WordPress from Notepad!

This way you don't get all the Word styles embeded into your post!

You will need to edit your post to remove any of those < font style tags

Example look at all the style and extra coding Word put into your post as it copies the atributes to when copying text from Word

 Have you ever been to the Mouse during mid-November? It is an interesting transitional time. Some of the bigger Fall events, such as Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party and Epcot’s Food and Wine Festival, have only recently ended and Thanksgiving is just days away. In the days leading to Thanksgiving, the holiday decorations go up and sometimes it seems as though they just appear by magic one morning.
So how does this all happen? Most of it occurs overnight, in what must be a massive effort. In a recent trip to the Boardwalk during the week before Thanksgiving Week, we came back to the resort after a late night at Downtown Disney. What we found was a lobby full of Christmas decorations. The pictures below show them as they were being carted into the lobby. You can see the racks the cast members carry them on, and the tags that are used to identify where they belong. When you think of all the decorations that adorn every inch of the parks and resorts, you can imagine the scope of the manpower needed to do all this in a week.

Then when you wake up, the place is Christmas central. Here’s an example of the interior decorations…

And this tree appeared in the courtyard…

The only thing left undone was the chocolate and gingerbread sculpture of Santa’s workshop. In the morning, a crowd had already gathered to watch these magician’s cooking up the centerpiece of the Boardwalk’s holiday décor…

 I know what you are saying, two “Web Check” columns and both are about Jim Hill Media. I promise that we will discuss many more Disney-related websites in the coming days, but I could not simply let today’s post go ignored. Because <a title="Monday MouseWatch: " href="http://jimhillmedia.com/blogs/jim_hill/archive/2006/11/27/monday-mousewatch-the-fans-really-need-to-lighten-up.aspx" target="_blank">today</a>, Mr. Hill has quite literally read my mind.

Mr. Hill has hit the nail on the head, and this is a constant peeve of mine as well. Forget the actually announced changes. This nonsense starts long before anyone from Disney stands at a podium or sends out a press release. Think of all the rumors you’ve read on websites all over the internet. It doesn’t matter what it is, the Disney fanatic is ready to not only call it terrible, but hammer Imagineering for even entertaining the very thought. (Of course, ignoring the fact that this is a rumor and no one can be sure they are even considering it.) But when it finally does get to the “official” stage, they go bananas. Here’s Mr. Hill’s take;

When the news first broke that the Imagineers were considering adding Capt. Jack Sparrow to both the Disneyland & Walt Disney World versions of this theme park favorite … Well, given how loudly the dweebs began howling, you would have thought that the Walt Disney Company was planning on adding a set of enormous Mouse Ears to the Lincoln Memorial. Seriously, there were Disney fans out there who actually compared this relatively minor addition to that attraction to desecration of a national monument.</blockquote>
And the re-done Pirates is an enormous success. The Jack Sparrow animatronics is so good, I thought it was a costumed cast member when I first saw it…And I knew it was coming! Imagine young kids seeing that animatronics for the first time. My 4 year old nephew was certain he was in the presence of the Captain himself.

But Pirates is not the only thing these complainers have been wrong about. Much bigger changes often get slammed by the fanatics long before they see the completed product. Look at some of the other attractions that have been re-worked or replaced. Test Track is incredibly more exciting then the World of Motion. Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin is a vast improvement over the former tenant, as is Mickey’s Philharmagic, just to name a few. All of these took the place of existing attraction, and all of them have “plussed” the experience.

Whenever things are going to change, we hear about Stitch’s Great Escape and version 2 of the Imagination attraction at Epcot. Yes, I admit, those were bad. Stitch is down-right awful, but why is that the benchmark? Take a look at what WDI has done over at the former Living Sea Pavilion. The new ride is tremendous, and the old bore-fest that circled the aquarium doesn’t hold a candle to it. Add that to arrival of Captain Jack, and this habit of assuming the worst in re-dos needs to be reversed.

Also, a little off topic, but when writing your post, I suggest that you make use of the split post with more tab to summarize your entry. The “split post with more" tab is on the panel just above the box where you type your post. It is two white boxes slit with a line right next to the picture icon. If you mouse over it says "split post with "more" tag." Click on this where you want the post split. You can see it in use on my blog. http://www.rosedesrochers.com

When you say "fix", does that mean removing them all? What should it look like when it is done properly?

David, you will need to edit each post. Copy the post to notepad and then repost each one.

Hello David

When you fix it by removing all those font tags they do not belong in the post they are coppied from Word, thats why I told you to Write it in Word if you like but be sure to past it into notepad before pasting it to WordPress..

You will need to login to the Admin Panel of WordPress, Edit each post but to edit them click the HTML icon on the Editor to view the source so you can remove any of the and closing tags!!!

None taken, I was just pointing out that it can be done 2 diffrent ways!

Also showing that WordPress allows you to edit your post in HTML incase you didnt know!

I went ahead and fixed your RSS feed urls also so they work now and added you as Admin under Users, you hadn't done this yet so in the post it was showing this tag
