Wow thanks Rose. I didn't expect to find this. I'm sorry I wasn't able to leave a better message on the forum itself. We've just got home today after learning last night from our next door neighbours who stayed here that electricity had been restored. We've spent the day cleaning up inside (the fridge and freezer) and outside (tree debris).
Now we have to hope that Ike doesn't follow suit as it's another hurricane out in the Atlantic.
I plan to write about the experience on my blog sometime in the coming days.
