This should make your stomach turn.
If you’re visiting China and you are looking looking for a restaurant to dine at, you may want to avoid this one. The entire dinner menu consists of unique dishes like goat penis, sliced, dipped in flour, fried, and served skewered with soy sauce, Dog’s penis, garnished with a plum, horse penis and testicles with a chilli dip and a dish combining the male organs of an ox and a snake. One specialty, Canadian seal penis, costs a hefty £220, and requires ordering in advance.
I feel like I’m going to vomit.
What weird food have you tried and would you be open minded enough to try these Chinese delicacies?

Not a good post for me to read at 9 in the morning UK time Rose!
So many of these things are mind over matter - if you know what you're eating then your mind plays tricks. Those all probably taste ok - but if you knew what you were eating it would become a real battle on your head.
I've tried the standard odd (ish) stuff: crocodile, rattlesnake, kangaroo, bull's testicles and various insects.

I've tried kangaroo but I don't think that is so strange.

For an American, it's slightly weird. Kangaroos are something we only see in zoos and feel somewhat 'exotic'....even though for Aussies, etc, they're just the equivalent of the deer we have here. |
