When you spend more than 15 minutes a day staring at your Google Analytics report asking yourself "Who was this person from Bozeman, Montana, that spent 18:15 minutes on my new, low-traffic blog yesterday and viewed a total of 21 pages? And why didn't they leave a comment if they were so enthralled?"

How about this?
When you print up business cards with just your blog address so you don't have to try to find a pen or pencil and an old grocery store receipt to write it on for people you just happen to meet. No need for them to remember your name, right? As long as they have the exact address for your blog all is well.
