I read a post recently (I was remiss in not notating the link so I could x-reference it) in which "black hatting" and "white hatting" was referred to. It was the process in which you have several blogs which feel off of one another (analagous to a host/parasite kind of thing, I guess) for the purpose of getting backlinks.
Whomever wrote the post cautioned against doing this because, he said, his blogs were eliminated by Blogger when supposedly they discovered all originated from his singular IP.
I'm not familiar with this term/process. Does this mean I shouldn't link another blog to the one I've already established?

Your profile has a list of all the blogs that you’ve created and I don’t think that there is anything wrong with creating a list of your other blogs in your sidebar as long as your blogs are not splog. When I think of black hat in the blogosphere I think of scraping and comment spamming not linking to other blogs that I have created.
