When I first was told about blogs, they were described to me as an “online diary”, and to be honest with you, that didn’t seem to appealing to me. It wasn’t until I found anncoulter.com and davidlimbaugh.com, that I saw the full potential of blogs. So I ran and found a place to get a blog. I quickly found bravenet.com, and within a matter of minutes I had a full out political blog, and it was a blast! I quickly started improving and learning. Now that I look back I wish I never deleted that blog just so I could see how far I have come. Why do I blog though? Well like I said, I started out with a political mindset, I wanted to “change people”. I wanted them to see my point of view and then agree with it. It was pretty much a one way thing. As I continued I began to see that it should be more like a conversation between me and the readers, so it began to slowly transform into what it is now. I now blog because I enjoy the interaction with readers, and I love to see myself get better. In fact I think that is my main goal, to better myself for the readers, I want them to enjoy this as much as I do. My inspiration has also changed, it started out as Ann Coulter and David Limbaugh, but now it consists of the likes of Ben Gray, Shawn Blanc, and Jesse Anderson. These people have phenomenal blogs, every time I visit their site I leave wishing I had the talent they had, I wish I could write like them. The changes I wrote about in earlier posts are all in effort to do just that, to get me as good as them. One day maybe I will be.
If you have a blog I would love to hear about why you blog and who are your inspirations? _________________ BANNED |

Wow they're good noble reasons man .
To be perfectly honest... I blog because I find it consoling to be able to say what I think and have a voice. _________________ NZ Protagonist - My screenwriting blog.

Only about three months for me... I guess you guys out experience me lol?
Lately I've been slack and not posted in a few weeks... I think I'm going to redesign my blog with a new theme and then start writing again
On blog inspirations...
The Unknown Screenwriter has to be my inspiration. His style sounds like he's talking in real life, and he pulls it off without getting messy and going into side stories. Plus he's an insane expert on script writing (that's the topic of my blog), but as far as I know his true identity hasn't been publicly revealed... I'm sure he's some famous screenwriter though _________________ NZ Protagonist - My screenwriting blog.

| I blog because it sure beats argueing with my ex. And it gives me a way to talk about so many things that anger me in this world. It is a good way to express my opinion. |

I blog because I enjoy commenting on international, national, and entertainment topics. My venue is satire, so there is never a shortage of newsworthy items to offer my opinions on.
I used to think it was important that I get as many people to read the blog as possible. Frankly, I don't care if anyone sees it. I sent it to a couple of my close friends who enjoy it. If anyone else stumbles on it, that's nice, but not necessary. The blog is a representation of my views on the world in which we live. I doubt that many would agree with my assessments, but then again, I'm cultivating a writing style I had not previously thought to engage myself in. I believe outside of the blog entries, my writing style has improved, and therein lies another positive aspect of creating and maintaining a blog.
I have also learned to incorporate features into my blog such as audio and video, processes I can incorporate into my web design projects as well.
All in all, a good experience for me.
Incidentally, I saw you blog and it was quite well set up. I would like to make a couple of suggestions. if you want more people to see your work, I suggest Feedblitz, which allows someone to subscribe to your blog simply by providing their Email address. they get an Email whenever your site is updated. I also recommend adding a "Add to My Google" button to your site. By doing so, you can actually have any new story appear in the Google Web Browser Personal settings each time you update the site.
Then again, you might want limited readership. In which case, I'm no help at all. |

I blog for two reasons:
1. I miss being a journalist
2. When I was a journalist I had to temper everything I wrote and couldn't be entirely honest.
So now I blog and can be as honest, irritable, frustrated or open as I like. _________________ ploop

I ask myself that all the time. I don't know why I do it. I'm not really good at sticking with things and I've never kept a journal or a diary in my life. I've kept up my blog for 15 months now, though, and I think I do it because I like to see my stuff written down. I don't really mind if anyone reads me or not, either, but of course I like it when they do |

Hi there - I enjoyed your blog. It seems we both like satire. But you don't allow comments? I couldn't find anyway of making remarks on your submissions on your site? _________________ ploop
