Hello all,
I own a consumer goods blog that I started back in 2004. It has a very bland web 1.0 name and similar content. It's also been dormant since January 2007. There are 300+ posts that have been indexed and currently the blog has a pagerank of 2 and an Alexa rank above 5 mil.
I'm ready to spruce up this blog, bring it web 2.0 and add lots of content. My question is do I just start over completely with a new domain name from post #1? Do I continue, as is, with this blog? Or do I change the domain name and import all the content into the new blog?
I also should say that no matter what I do, I need to move this blog to a new server. I'm not sure if that's relevant to my question or not.
Thank you, in advance, for any help with this. And if you need more info to answer, please let me know. |

| Thanks for the reply. What about the need to rename the blog? |

| I agree that you should continue on this one because you already have the rank and some content. You can rename it if you think it would work better for you or needs revamped, but that's completely a personal decision. |

| Will just changing the domain name completely kill all the PR and search engine placement? If so, is there a better way to re-name a 3 year old blog? |
