This can be an added security measure. I'm not personally surprised at all, I have noticed that there has been an increase in link commenting as a form of advertisement recently.

| Actually, I comment on lots of blogs....but I use Blogger and when posting on Blogger blogs, I'm automatically signed in. All I do is comment and click submit (or hit tab and enter to submit)....the other doesn't apply to me. I'd noticed that the form slightly changed but because I've never paid much attention to the other spots, I couldn't have told you 'what' exactly changed. |

they almost akin to Wordpress since the latter platform requires you to log first in Wordpress for you to comment on blogs using that platform. That is a nice move for me to refrain from spam an unscrupolous comment posters
