Not much for my first month but my blog is about making money online including money from the blog (kind of cyclical I know). Made a little over $5 in my first 2 weeks but it is growing! Well . . . .

Over 2 years on the same personal blog and I've made no money through ads and such. I did bring in around $60.00 total since WP 2.3 came out helping folks with upgrades and problems etc (Through that "Buy me a Coffee" plugin that Rose mentioned). Otherwise I've never been able to make any $$ through ads (Google mostly).
I'm destined to be a poor destitute blogger  |

I put a few banners into my blog, mainly because I like the pictures (some of them move around!) and they brighten the place up a bit. And those nice Nitro people were kind enough to let me have a whole load of text links.
Anyway, as a result I made around 400 bucks in December. Yes I know that's not very much, not enough to retire on yet, but it's not a bad start I suppose. Especially considering it didn't involve any work at all really.
So I'm keeping the banners. They're pretty, they don't get in my way, and people do seem to like clicking on them.

I was thinking about adding adsense to my blog but I don't like the idea of it being cluttered with adverts.

Mafro, you can choose how many ads, and what kind, you'd like on your blog,and where you want them to appear, it's not out of your control....
