Just a quick question to anybody interested. I have recently written three blog posts on traffic that were quite long but before that I had a few posts that were quite short and so I configured my settings to show 3 posts on the front page. Now however 3 posts seems very excessive and results in a lot of blank space in my side-bar at the lower extremities.

So what should be done here? Should I keep changing the amount of posts on the front page or strive to keep to a consistent word count whilst blogging?

Any suggestions?

Why not use expanded posts. Then you can keep the sidebar even with the page? I have 9 on my page, but use read more.

Hey thanks for the reply Rose. What are expanded posts and how do I use them?

Thanks again!

Expandable post summaries mean that you will not display your full posts on the main page but just a short first paragraph or a summary. At the end of the summary , there will be a "read more" link which will take the reader to the full post page.

To learn more about expandable posts summaries , you can visit the following links.

I think mine has 5 on it right now. It doesn't seem to bother many people, and I continue to get traffic to some of the older post
