Hi everyone:
I wasn't sure just where the best place to post this would be, but if this isn't, I assume Rose would move it to an even better place. But anyway, here goes...
While working with my audio podcast on pod-O-matic, I stumbled across this site, which has a comphrensive listing of blog & podcast directories in which one can submit their blog/podcast and generate traffic.
Now with that come a few words of caution...
1). It looks as though this site hasn't been updated recently, so there are a few outdated links.
2). At the time I visited some other places, they were in the process of revamping some part of their site
3). Some places apparently either never did accept new blog/podcast submissions or if they did, they discontinued the practice without telling anyone (These sites will only only show what they already have in their database)
4). Some sites require registration (Which was free & relatively painless at the at the sites I actually registered with, though some were picky when it came to submitting keywords)
5). DO NOT EXPECT A BUTTON TO PUT ON BLOG RIGHT OFF THE BAT!! (This was the rule with virtually every site I submitted my blog/podcast with. This is because your feed must be spidered and it has to meet the standards as set forth by the site owner)
If you got anything at all from them upon initial submission, COUNT YOURSELF LUCKY!! Usually the sites just simply thank you for your submission.
If there's any dupe listings with what Rose has on the resources page, I'm sure she'll sift thru them as she confirms the existence and availability of each site when it comes to submissions.
