Hi everyone,
Could anyone tell me what is the SEO and and other things related to it iam sorry but iam little new to such things..If I have a website so how I can promote it to Top Rank??

Promoting a blog takes a LOT of time. And traffic is almost mostly like a roller coaster. From 100 hits to 10k hits to 7 hits all in 3 days!
But remember the golden rule of blogging : Content is Key. Good content will mostly and usually lead to good traffic.

SEO (search engine optimization) is important to bring traffic to your blog and includes various things, like making sure your code is correct, including informative meta tags, incorporating the main keywords into the opening sections of your posts etc.
Getting backlinks is an important part too - having your URL in your signature and contributing to appropriate fora (like this one) is a good way to get some, and doing link exchanges with related sites is good too.
The main thing though is to make sure your site has regular updates and content people will want to read!

You could not have asked about a deeper and wider topic. SEO for blogging is easier than I thought it would be ( I have been doing site seo for a couple of years). The keys are:
1. Keyword development
2. Long tail keywords
3. Post, Post, Post
4. Write articles and submit them
5. Submit to blog directories
Understand that the 5 above are just a start, there is more to it than these 5, and volumes are written about each (they change all the time, requiring updated info) but you can't go wrong working on your keywords, this, over the long run, will build traffic as the search engines love....wait for it....fresh content, so post often too!
