Hey everyone just wanted to drop in and tell you a bit about myself and my blog. I am 25 years old and have become very interested in the stock market and money managment over the past few years. I decided the other week to start up a blog about the USA stock market and how to better manage your money and make it work for you.
You can find it at www.stockhola.com Any comments or suggestion would be a huge help.
Thanks!
Sean Supplee

Hi Sean! Welcome to BloggerTalk. I dropped by your blog, and although I am not so much into the stock market, I must say, I really loved your theme.

I am sure some others on this forum will have interest in the niche of your blog. Best of Luck!

I don't follow the stockmarket either, but I really like your theme. You have a nice clean design and that is important for a blog. icon_biggrin.gif

Hi Sean, I dropped by your blog, I am in the stock market and I have some suggestions. You said the charter of your blog was to help people invest their money right?

How are you serving your readers by regurgitating that days top headlines with no commentary from you. In other words, I blog about starbucks, and if Starbucks stock is sitting at it's all time low, I might suggest those of you out there with the stomach for it, to long the stock.

The pre-requisit is, I have to be able to tell people that longing a stock is taking a option position that I am betting the stock is going to go higher, you are going to have to know how to have that conversation too, you are going to have to be able to stay on top of the events as they happen, and you are going to have to be able to give tips I can't get someplace else.

I just read a great post last night by Scoble (who posts like 10 times a day) about news vs. noise. Scobleizer
which he writes about getting news before its news. It is a great post for anyone who needs info fast before other people get it.

My point, make it something different. I blog about Starbucks, because I like the company as a whole, because what they have done interests me, and I can play monday morning quarterback. I can watch what happens and comment on it, giving my twist or take on a subject.

I think I am fair and balanced and I tell people up front I am a stockholder, so as my blog grows, there is no attempt on my part to influence prices, ( as if I could) and I have fun with it.

I like the layout and design of your blog, but to make a financial guy ( who is going to be your primary market by the way) want to come back, you are going to have to give me a compelling reason to use your blog as more than an aggregation source of data which I already get.

I hope you didn't take any of this wrong, it is meant to point you in the right direction from exactly the type of reader you want....me!

So I am going to subscribe to see what you do with your blog going forward, good luck!

Eric
