What do you mean by customize the header? I'm not sure that I know how to do it.
I'll take a look at the other templates, what would be the best theme color in your opinion? |

Welcome to BT.
As for making your blog interesting, since it's a personal blog, just make it all about you. Your interests. Your thoughts. I know it's simplistic, but there's no real key to making it interesting. In my opinion, asking how to make a personal blog (which is essentially about you) more interesting is the equivalent of asking how to make yourself more interesting. People will read your blog and be interested for the same reasons they'd be interested in you as an individual. I speak from years of experience of trying to make my blog interesting.
