Hello everyone,
After receiving Rose's email and looking at the one she referred to from a week ago (which I didn't think read too badly at all), I thought I'd better get around to finally spending time looking at these forums.
Well, I'm glad I did - I hadn't heard of addtoany but, thanks to Rose mentioning this in an old post in the Blog Promotion forum, both widgets are on my blogs.
I write two blogs. Nick R Thomas - A Public Speaker's Blog http://www.nickrthomas.co.uk gives free presentation skills tips based on my own ongoing speaking engagements and many years as a speechwriter and presentation skills trainer here in the UK (more than 200 tips since last August - and counting!)
Freelance Comedy Writer http://www.freelancecomedywriter.blogspot.com which I started just a month ago (beware - it has a large, scary picture!) is an occasional blog to republish some of the magazine articles I write about my radio comedy scriptwriting.
Now I'm here at last, I hope to visit - and comment - a lot more often. |

Well, Rose, as far as scriptwriting is concerned, we're lucky to live in a time when DVDs of great comedy series frequently have extras where writers, directors and actors talk about how shows were originated and what went into the writing of them - there's a lot of useful guidance there that wasn't available just a few years ago.
As far as overcoming public speaking fear goes, know what you are going to say and practise (especially by joining a public speaking class or speakers' club if there's one nearby). My site has 12 Tips for Terrified Speakers including a very good way to deal with panic attacks.
