With a little practice, I could end up there! _________________ Wildlife, landscapes, seascapes and Irish Life Paintings by Avril Brand

Yeah, it sounds good. But then you would have to go those all the on-line meetings with all the other poor bloggers and bare you soul while they too share the problems of their addiction with the group.
There could be an up side to it though. Just think of all the new material you would have that you could post to your blog. Or better yet you could create a whole new blog about all those soul-searching confessions and wrecked lives. _________________ Baker Watson

AvaBd, I can relate.....I got lost in all things bloggable (?) for awhile at first, addictive is the word!
But I reached a saturation point after about 3 months, and just had to chill for a bit...still chillin' at the moment... _________________ Christina

Hi there Baker!
Yes... I can see us sitting staring at the monitor, blurry eye'd and dimwitted with fatigue. The distant sounds of our families cries at being neglected totally ignored.
Now if only they were clever enough to write comments on our blogs they would have our attention immediately _________________ Wildlife, landscapes, seascapes and Irish Life Paintings by Avril Brand

Yeah, seriously, though, I found I was spending so much time, as you said, working on my blog, reading blogs, and trying to network etc. that everything was falling down around me! I'm not kidding!
Well, I would chat more, but I feel the urge to start working on a new post.... _________________ Christina

As I hit my 100th post on the first anniversary of starting Nick R Thomas - A Public Speaker's Blog, I restated why I write this particular blog:
"The mission statement of this blog has always been
'Acknowledge, advise and advertise'.
- I acknowledge the bookings, the warm audience responses, the votes of thanks, booklet sales, lunches, dinners, unsolicited testimonials and help with transport.
- I advise by passing on the insights I have gained from preparing and delivering my presentations, or thoughts that occur to me about public speaking issues in the media.
- And I advertise my services on the web pages so a final thank you to all of those speakers, radio presenters and comedians who continue to commission me for original, tailored speechwriting, topical gags and routines and to those organisations who book me to speak as a result of reading this blog and website."

Following on from last my post:
I gave up teaching adult education classes a few years ago (like soooo many other UK tutors fed up with the ever-increasing paperwork and the constantly rising minimum numbers needed for a class to even run) but writing a blog enables me to carry on passing on speaking tips - and to an international audience.
No hourly rate for teaching - but no infuriating bureaucrats either! _________________ Nick R Thomas
