Okay... I have to get this off my chest. I'll probably say something about it on my blog as well, but only after I get some feedback first.
I'd like to know how many of you here rely on the reviews of movie critics when determining whether or not you will see any movies.
Personally I can view a trailer and know that if the contents of the trailer appeals to me, so will the movie.
This morning I saw a one-star review for a movie I've been looking forward to seeing for months and it's got me miffed.

I don't go to movies very often, but I usually take most reviews with a grain of salt.
And hype or word of mouth often isn't a good indicator either. I have to know the person recommending a movie and trust their taste. Even then I realize what appeals to them may not appeal to me, but I can usually figure out whether I will like the movie or not in talking to them if they have seen it.

I'm a movie fan, and normally I got the interest to watch certain movie based on trailers, not unless it's super famous and got some of my favourite casts in it. Or, at times, I don't need one, simply go ahead with my instinct. I don't rely on movie critics, as people have different taste in movies. That doesn't bother me much. So normally, I don't read them.
Sometimes I like to read the Synopsis after the movie, maybe just to get something that I missed from the show. The same reason that caused me to write some movie Synopsis in my blog these few weeks, simply love it. Just in case ppl not interested to know the details, they can just hit the trailers! That's the idea.

I really don't believe in movie reviews because all of us have different opinions and taste on what kind of movie we usually watched. As for me, I only watch movies that 'interest me most' or 'something that is intriguing'
