Hi everyone,
I'm Patty and I started a blog (my first) a few months ago. It's called "Patty's Life" and it's about my low-carb lifestyle and just general musings on life. I would appreciate so much your opinion if you have a chance to visit.

Hey Patty, and welcome.
I see you are a fan of 'All Creatures Great and Small'. One of my favorites of all times. You just have to love all the characters. I've read all of his books and have a signed copy of one.
Looks like you've gotten serious about blogging over the past 3-4 months. that's great. You write what you feel in a very open and personal way. I think that kind of communication is what visitors like to see in a blog.
I'm with Gary about maybe dressing up the blog a bit. Maybe adding a bit of color for a little punch. My template is the same as yours. I sort of keep my blog simple and for a long time had the all white background for the posts and the sidebar. I recently changed the background color of the posting section and I think that added bit of color makes the page stand out a lot better and visually separates the posting section from the sidebar. Experiment with some simple basic changes and see what you think.

Just visited your site, Patty, and as I said in the Comments, LOVE the background color! Looks like it wasn't always such a vivid shade? Also, something interesting about the way you share, I don't always get caught up in people's daily life stuff, but I found yours easy to want to keep reading.

[B] Hi Patty, You have a great blog. Sounds like we have some things in common... I'm a low carber also and have been for a long while. I do it because I'm diabetic and it keeps my sugars in line and because I want to lose weight also. (I'm better at the first than at the second, lol) What level of low carb do you do? I'm into Atkins.
I'm also a big fan of All Creatures Great and Small Great books, funny series.
