My name is Bill and I have been a member of BloggerTalk for quite some time. I cannot remember the last time I posted, although I have read many of the forum entries. I do no consider myself qualified to respond to most posts. I write four blogs, although with no degree of reliability. I find that writing one blog can be a near-full-time endeavor. I also am in the process of writing a book in my "spare time." My primary interests are theology (Christian), history, and the sciences. I do not do fiction — at least not yet.
I am 63 years old and sort of retired. I love life and enjoy writing. While I like having an audience read what I write, much of my writing is an exercise in expressing myself and honing my skills. |

Even if you feel that you are not qualified to answer technical questions you can still add to a discussion and be a great asset to the community.

What qualifies anyone to respond to anything? We've got a wide variety of questions that are asked.
Some are super technical and you may not be able to answer them, which is cool.
Some are ordinary questions and you might've dealt with the same thing or something similar, in which case you should speak up and say what worked for you. Or maybe you never resolved it.
Some you may just want to suggest something different. For instance, someone has asked about allowing music to play immediately when a visitor arrives on one's blog. I don't care for that mostly because what you like in music, I might not like. But also because I may be viewing that blog at work and don't want to get startled out of my seat when unexpected music comes blaring out of my speakers.
I think you're more qualified than you think. If you still don't think you are, stick around and play games.   |
