I don't think there is that much benefit in Technorati full stop. I have had two people link to my Blog, but Technorati still shows no linkers!
There must be better ways to get your blog rating up, although right now I can't think how  |

Strange as it seems to work fine for me. I currently have 13 blogs linking to my main blog and expecting it to show 14 before the day is out.
Can't remember when I first started using it but most of the links I've had added all seemed to show up quickly enough.

I'd have to agree with you on that one westen, I have a who's online widget on mine and you do only see the technorati bot in after new posts. I can't recall a single time seeing it just there, but then it's not a search engine like yahoo or google so it is probably just how they work.

Having used Technorati tags now I found that Tagging is useful to your bog.
If your blog software supports categories, and you use the included category system and are publishing RSS/Atom feeds then your categories will be read as tags on Technorati.
However, I use many popular Technorati tag words in my post that I don't have categories for. This is one reason why it is useful to use tags on your posts.
The Technorati Tag page for 'YouTube' at the time of writing this post contained 1,358,057 results from blogs where bloggers are blogging about YouTube.
I have searched through the tags on Technorati and have received visits to my blog through other searching the Technorati tags. It does not bring a great deal of traffic, but it has brought some.

I get very little traffic from technorati, tagging or not.
I've also noticed this: there are bloggers linking to me that do not show up in my technorati profile. Is it because they haven't claimed their blogs? Not everyone does; I didn't for a long time, but it shouldn't make a difference, right?
