Are we talking Wordpress here? If so unzip the files you downloaded, inside should be a directory full of php files. Upload the directory (with files) to your /wp-content/themes/ directory on your server then goto Site Admin/Presentation and click on the skins you uploaded to select them. _________________ Bob! |

Hello Algorithm
Well first you will need to unzip the WordPress theme / template pack onto your desktop.
Then using a FTP program, upload them to the following directory. However this depends on your installation and whether it's in a subdirectory or not, it will need to be uploaded to the following folder..
public_html/wp-content/themes/
Subdirectory would be the following
public_html/Your Subfolder Name/wp-content/themes/
Once you have the WordPress theme / template uploaded, you simply need to login to your "ACP" = Admin Control Panel.
Once logged in click the "Presentation" link, and you should see the current WordPress theme / template installed.
Simply scroll down and you should see a section called "Available Themes".
Now if the theme developer included a screenshot simply click the one you wish to install and WordPress will set it to the default theme.
Now the new theme / template should be installed, click the link at the top that says "View Site," and you're done!
If you need any further assistance please let me know.

An FTP Program is a file transfer protocol program, it connects to the Domain host and allows you to upload, delete, and set permissions on files, basically a file manager.
Now you’re with Blue host? They too have cPanel X as I do - which means you can do this two different ways!
One would be to use the file manager inside your cPanel account, it may take longer to accomplish but works the same..
The other would be to use a FTP program to do this, it’s really a matter of what your more comfortable with..
Now there are some free FTP programs on the market and I have them included in my download section located here http://www.invision-graphics.com/downloads-cat8.html
Or you can use Google.com to find other free FTP programs you can use to connect to your domain to upload and manage files like this one.. http://www.smartftp.com/
http://www.google.ca/search?hl=en&q=Free+FTP+Programs&meta=
But if you decide to use the file manager in cPanel be sure to create the file in the appropriate folder as stated above public_html/wp-content/themes/
Keeping in mind to keep the template and theme structure in tact, by uploading all the contents and making all the appropriate folder names .
If you need further help don’t hesitate to holler!

Okay, I went into the File Manager right in the control panel to get the job done. Before I even did anything, I noticed a file that was already there called:
public_html
I don't know if that should be there or not, but I noticed that the new file you wanted me to create started with that. In that file is a bunch of WordPress stuff which was likely created when I did the auto-install for WordPress.
Is this file a problem, or can it stay?
Anyway, I create a new file called:
public_html/wp-content/themes/
When I do that, though, it takes out the '/' automatically and I can't do anything about that. Is that a problem as well? I continued anyway and went to upload all of the images and php files and they appear fine. I then logged into WordPress and went to:
Presentations
No where could I find a new template to upload. What happened?
But when I am dealing with stuff, I keep seeing:
thinkth1
For instance, the file you told me to create ends up looking like this:
/home/thinkth1/public_htmlwp-contentthemes
How do I can the 'thinkth1' part of that?

Definetly leave the folder's public_html and thinkth1!!!!
public_html is the default root server path deleting this file will remove all your files and content..
When I said place the template inside the thinkth1/public_html/wp-content/themes/
It means to go to that directory, you need to insure you put them in the theme folder which would be found in /thinkth1/public_html/wp-content/themes..
And no the / slash is fine - its a simple indicator of a directory path..
Now when you ordered your bluehost account and decided on your registration name 'thinkth1' that was set, its the default username for you to access the cPanel and admin control panel for your web-site..
I hope this clears up the confusion for you..if not let me know

Okay, I figured it out...for the most part.
I realized that I was looking at it all wrong and then had some sort of revelation. It is mostly there, but there is something getting messed up and I'm not sure what.
I'll keep it the same until you get a look at it, and you can find it here:
I uploaded everything that came in the ZIP file, so I don't know why it screws up. I tried it with another template, and most of it shows up, but there is stuff missing.
What's going on?

I totally understand what you're saying now. I went to go and do it, and while I was, all of a sudden something happened and it came up with the prompt to type in my username and password for cpanel x. I did that, and the prompt comes up again as if I entered the wrong information, although it's the same as I've always put in.
Is this just something wrong on their end, whoever they would be or did I somehow change my username and password without actually doing it?
Edit: Now I can't even access the control panel, so I definitely think it's a problem on their end. |

Well there is no way to change the login access information unless you physically did it your self in the cpanel under account information..
Have you tried accessing the cpanel directly from your server name by doing the following..
http://www.think-theory.com/cpanel
Or by going directly to Bluehost[dot]com and logging in from their main page?
If you are still unable to gain access I suggest writing their support department or calling them directly or submit a support ticket and have them assist you as this is out of our hands at this point..
Like Rose said not only would you get hosting we do free theme installs..lol

When I went to BlueHost and logged in, it actually worked. Oh well.
And I created the img folder and scripts folder. I put all of the images in the one and then everything else in the scripts folder, that being the php and css stuff. But when I go to presentations and go to select the Impact template, I can't because it says the stylesheet is missing. Where am I supposed to put the style sheet(s)?
And what is the Layer.js file? I don't see that anywhere... |

Okay, so I decided to go with a different template, just because I found one I liked better.
I found I had the same problems with it as the Impact one, so I tried some stuff on my own.
I created an img folder and put all of the jpg and gif files in that, and since every time when I create the scripts files it says that there is no template or style sheet, I went without a scripts file at all. I just put them all next to the img folder on their own, and it worked.
Is it alright that I did it like this, or will it affect me somehow?
And secondly, there is one small problem. The OK, Search, and RSS buttons don't show up like they are supposed to, like here:
http://studio.st/i-feel-dirty/
What I have is this:
These buttons are all gifs, but I wonder what folder they are supposed to be in...
