Do you ever struggle with writing an entry? Do you ever have times when you can't even think of a subject to write about? How do you deal with writers block when blogging?Forum Signature------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |

Well one thing is that you shouldn't feel pushed to post daily. If writers can get writers' block, then bloggers can get bloggers' block. I've had blogger's block.
When I get blogger's block I surf to other blogs, check to see what news is going on in the blogosphere, post a meme, post some weird and wacky news, digg can be a great place for blogging topics and take Quizzes from blogthings. There are other ways to come up with blogging content, but this is just a few of the things that I do to help me get over blogger's block.
Good topic Stu. This would make a great article. |

| I have bloggers block right now - only posted on my travel blog twice this week, and not at all on my other blog. I haven't lost interest, just seems theres more to life than blogging and the internet right now. |

I don’t have blogger’s block at this time; I just have far to much going on to blog. My blogging, like my writer has taken a back seat. Great post Stu. Have you ever consider freelance writing as a career?
Darren is everything ok? |

| I always have writers block. It's why I added a castles section to mine so I could just have a dig around the net and post some stuff about castles when i can't think of anything else. I refer to the comments I left on Stu's site about how I deal with writers block.
Seriously though... I've had a weird month recently with my fiancee being ill, and as I normally try to write amusing pieces it's been really difficult.
I'm ready to get back on the horse though... |

Hi I am new here and maybe slightly off topic for which I apologise in advance. I don't actually get blogger block as such, I just sometimes doubt that what I am about to write is remotely interesting to someone else. A bit like the holiday slide scenario.
My brother on the other hand is an interesting and humerous writer of tales but he will not entertain a blog he prefers to write his chronicles via his web site and save them in PDF. Now I know he is my brother but I just love his stories and wish that he would share them with a wider audience. He does nothing to promote his site and I keep telling him that unless he tells people where the site is they will have a hard job finding him
If someone would actually read them and let him know if they enjoyed the stories he might decide that maybe a blog is not such a bad idea.
Would it be ok to post a link here for people to have a look and give their opnion or is that strictly taboo? Rose would it be ok for me to PM you with the URL so that you can check it out first and then if it were ok maybe I could post a link. |

It sounds interesting. I would put it in a new thread though just because that way you might get more people looking at it (the ones who don't want to read about writers block wont find it).
I suffer from the something sometimes and worry that my posts are not that funny.Forum Signature------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |

I spend a lot of time thinking about a post before I set it to keyboard. I'm forced to because of the topic. So I don't post very often, but when I do, I generally feel well prepared for it. I never worry about content. I suppose because if I'm satisified with it, it's good enough to place in my blog. I can't do anything about the results. Like humor, it will be taken differently by different people. So Stu, if I may call you that, just blog for your own enjoyment and humor.Forum Signature------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- http://www.realityphilosophy.wordpress.com
