I'd like to get some feedback on my blog. I know that I still need a custom header for it, but I haven't designed it yet. Aside from that, how do you think it looks? I'm not getting many hits yet, and I'm wondering if there's anything I can improve on.
Thanks,

Looks good.
My suggestion would be to get a picture of something you've designed into the first post,as at the moment the first thing a visitor sees is full page of text.
A picture of your work would break up the text and let visitors see how good you are without having to scroll down.
Good luck with it! _________________ My blog - All True - http://alltruism.blogspot.com

Ashley,
I visited your blog and I must commend you. I really liked the way you shared your excitement about the things that interest you. It really comes through in the writing. I'm relatively new at blogging also, but I have read and viewed 1,000's of blogs over the past few years.
The suggestion about adding pictures was good and I see you picked up on that. I would suggest a couple of more things. I noticed you have an Etsy Shop, but you don't currently have anything listed. I understand that the blog and the shop are still a Work In Progress, but I think I would shift the link to the Etsy Shop down to the bottom of the sidebar for the time being. No need to draw attention to it until it has listings. It is generally good not to promise or offer something in the blog that is not there or is hard to access.
Also, IMHO, you should perhaps think about using Labels as a way for someone to search your site and include them in the sidebar. If you do you may need to limit the labels a bit to those type items that you plan to post about frequently. It seems to me that for some time your blog may be centered around three main subjects: (1) your original designs, (2) your learning and development experiences and resources, and (3) other posts about your life and activities in general such as the sightseeing in San Francisco. I would create and use the labels along those lines and try to refrain from making too many labels that end up being for just one post. That way in the future if people visit that have specific interests they can easily find pertinent posts directly from the sidebar. For instance, they may want to know primarily about your original creations or perhaps they will want to follow you through the learning experience and use it a resource for their own development.
In any event, keep up the good work. You are off to a great start and I wish you success with your blog and most of all with your creations. _________________ Baker Watson

BakerWatson- all great suggestions! Thanks so much for taking the time to give me a review. I appreciate the kind words as well. (I'm going to go visit your blog after I leave this response)
That is a very good point about my Etsy shop link- I'm actually considering taking the link off all together because I'm not sure how long it will be until I list something. I wish I had it all ready right now, but I'm just not there yet. I'm fairly new to key-wording so I may have gone a bit overboard on the lables. Tidying them up a bit would help I think.
Thanks again...I can use all the help I can get. See ya 'round Bloggertalk!
