I have 2 blogs and I appreciate how easy it is to use Gmail Blogs... but I am SO discouraged... If I didn't want to keep my Blogs I would cancel my Gmail account... I have NEVER received so much Spam...ever!
It is even effecting my Yahoo account (for whatever reason) How can Gmail possibly say that you get less Spam with Gmail?? I have a good anti virus ... and have never had this problem before. Is there nothing I can do to stop the influx of Spam???... Are my Blogs somehow 'responsible' for all the Spam on my Gmail account? I get at LEAST 100 a day... Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks for your time if you have any helpful answers for me. |

Its really annoying seeing spam emails. Sometimes I cannot find my personal emails because these spams "took over" my inbox no matter how i click "report as spam" button. _________________ Ralph Lauren Clothes at Designer Clothing Online for Men and Women |

I get 1 piece of spam every few weeks and I have Gmail. And I have multiple Gmail accounts all tied together. Unless you've linked your Yahoo email address with your Gmail account, there is no possible way your Yahoo account can be affected by the spam from Gmail.
Anything that you sign up for and type in your Gmail address, you absolutely must read the fine print and look at all the check boxes and uncheck anything that mentions receiving offers from partner sites or associates or anything of that nature.
Sites are banking on the fact that people quite often do not read the fine print and breeze over those little tick-boxes. So I'm fairly certain the spam is actually legal spam that you asked for when you weren't paying attention.
Also, spam hits in waves, it seems. If there's a new virus/trojan or other malicious malware that idiots with nothing better to do try to spread around, you'll see a sudden influx of spam. I had this happen recently. I had maybe 10 emails in my spambox at any one time then suddenly it jumped to 50. I looked and there are virus-laden emails there.
And that's another thing. Is the spam in your Inbox or are you just seeing more in your spam folder whose number is visible even when you look at your Inbox? _________________ Complex Femme

Thank you, BlueJeanFemme for your post.
No, I don't get Spam in my Inbox...maybe a couple all told in the few months I've had my Gmail account. It's just that I've grown rather astonished at the number in my Spambox...
I'm pretty careful when it comes to reading the fine print... you are right in stressing how important that is.
Well, maybe I don't really have a 'problem' after all, as long as Spam is not creeping into my Inbox.
Thanks again.
