My original goal to start this blog has been focused on being able to help other newbies going through the beginning stages of blogging. I personally had lots of difficulty just navigating around when I first started and enjoyed all the helpful blogs such as Blogger Tips and Tricks. Once I started to feel comfortable, I then wanted to help others feeling like I did starting out. Now everything that I've done is for the classic blogger, it isn't relevant to the new beta bloggers (the new bloggers that I so wanted to be of help to). I can't change my instruction over to beta help when I haven't even seen the set up..........not do I want to after hearing all the negatives. I'm not feeling the need to continue and yet I don't want to give up on all my efforts I have put into this so far. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Sherry

Well I think perhaps what you should do is learn the new Beta by creating a dummy blog and then once you learn the features you could then offer your assistance. Of course if you have no plans yourself to use beta you could always offer help to bloggers other ways. After all your blog is called helpful resources for new bloggers and there is much more out there than just blogger. _________________ Help Support Blogger Talk Blogging Community|

Rose,
Thanks for your reply......you are right about testing beta so I've opened a new account and now testing the new Beta Blogger. It seems to be okay just different than what I'm used to and have many questions there also. I wouldn't know where to begin to add anything into the HTML template like I used to do with the classic blogger template. This is the learning curve and I'll get through it, your encouragement and support is so appreciated!

I want to report back with you on my results after testing Beta Blogger today. I was very pleased to realize you can "Revert to Classic Template" after opening a beta blog. I wrote a post about it........check out my findings.

Hi,
It's nice to hear you are doing well with beta blogger. I have experimented with it and find it's okay too and I'm getting used to it. My main blogs are still the classic blogger so I'm on those more than my beta test one.
Like I mentioned earlier that my information for new bloggers was based on the classic template and was concerned that all the info on my blog was outdated. I have managed to use all of the same info on my beta blog by reverting to classic template, so I was happy to know that.
You mentioned I forgot the (s) on my link......I don't see where you mean, let me know.
I see you belong to MBL also........please join my community. I'm still learning how to navigate around there also.
Thanks for your reply, Sherry _________________ http://betabloggersresources.blogspot.com/ |
