Same, although I do have a MSN Live Spaces thingy set up as I was curious, but I'm not actually interested about it. Maybe in the futre I can use it to draw some more readers to my blog. _________________ Bob! |

Well, you're responsible for getting me turned on to Wordpress, so that has been a real delight. I need to figure out a way to tie into interest groups who share an interest in my topic. At least, I need to learn how to place links to articles on philosophy at that site so that even if people don't care for my blog, perhaps it could be a portal to some useful information on philosophical subjects. Part of the learning cuve to be sure. _________________ http://www.realityphilosophy.wordpress.com

Writing articles and submitting them to free article directories is a great way to promote your blog.
I have been fortunate to have several of my articles published on high trafficked websites.
Here's the resource box I include at the end of my articles:
Rose DesRochers is the founder of Blogger Talk Blog Community , a friendly fast growing blogging portal, offering bloggers support, advice, tools, tips and information about blogs and blogging. She is also the administrator of Today's Woman Writing Community, a supportive online writing community for men and women over 18.
What you are giving is your permission for the publisher to publish your article in exchange for a byline at the end of the article. The byline is about four lines of text about yourself, including a link to your blog.
Websites are constantly looking for free content to re-publish.
You might try this ". Philosophy - Chats and Forums " as a starting point to interest groups that would tie into your blog.
Another option would be to search for a Philosophy Blog Directory in Google.
Here is the starting point for your new wordpress blog.
What Do I Do With My New Wordpress.com Blog?
I hope that I've answered all your questions and this will get you started. _________________ Help Support Blogger Talk Blogging Community|

Rose,
I do believe that it was you who also got me onto wordpress - I spent about two weeks solid designing a new blog layout (hosted myself) and found the whole ordeal very frustrating. I also lost patience with the editor in the end. I just find blogger so much easier to update, design templates for and to add posts to.
It is just an opinion but I think I'll stick where I am now. I feel warmer.

| I am currently using blogger. It is good enough for what it is. For my next blog I plan to use Wordpress on my own domain. |

| Blogger it is for me. I've tried a couple others, aside from Wordpress, and Blogger seems to be treating me alright for the time being, so that's where I'll stay until further notice. |

I am using blogger right now. I think down the road somewhere (like 6 months) I may start my own server. If I do that I will probably switch to wordpress.
I am also using a lot of the google services. I know lots of people use adsense. What about analytics? |

I don't use AdSense, but I have been using Google Analytics. Someone recommended it to me, and even though I don't need/use all of its features, I do find some of them beneficial. |

I use wordpress hosted under my own domain.
I also have a personal blog on vox. I didn't really try out any other personal focused systems beforehand, but vox seems great because it's so friendly and community concentrated . It also allows you to limit who can see each post eg family can't see this one, my friends can't see these - it's really handy _________________ NZ Protagonist - My screenwriting blog.

I'm using blogger for all three of my blogs. I actually started a wordpress blog but I am so used to blogger that I decided to just stick with the one format... BUT, I actually think I would like wordpress better because I REALLY wish I had the ability to have separate page links.
From what I understand it is not easy to transfer from blogger to wordpress so I'll probably stick with it... hoping that at some point blogger will add a way to have separate pages!
