I was thrilled when Blogger recently added labels and I've been trying to make use of that feature on each post. Now granted, labels are probably intended more for categorizing and navigating and most sites will have their individual or unique labels, but I'm kinda interested to know if anyone has a recommended set of "standard" labels from which to build upon?
And, a little off track here, do labels on your posts have any bearing at all on SEO, aside from being another page that will (hopefully) be spidered? _________________ Rob O.

| To the first question, I'm not sure...but for the latter, I get quite a few hits to the labelled pages. I haven't always used labels, but now that I have them, it's kinda interesting to see how many more people get to my site via a search that lands them on a category page. |

| I have replaced my archive section with a list of labels. I might be wrong, but I feel it makes my site easier to navigate. If you visit my site, you probably don't care what I wrote in August of 2006. But if you read something I write on Iraq and want to see something else I wrote, you can click on the labels for Iraq. |

On a question related to this...
In blogger, are the labels the same as the technorati tags? I spent some time coding in the tags for technorati. Then I discovered tech was grabbing my labels and listing them as tags, so I stopped. Are they the same thing? Am I right when I assume (at my peril) that tech sees the labels the same as its tags? |

Hi rodaniel, From my observation put label is important because is affected search engine to indexs our site.Another thing good apply for label is
1.easy to navigation and helpfull for visitor/reader
2.Put it in Tab,Its will be your site map and useful for me to increase my Adsence revenue as well.
3.Label will be keyword what are reader looking for.As example you post about nuclear technology,if me am put label WMD and sure it's more pay attention..
4.standardized base labels in this case depend on you it's same like human thinking can be anything related. Some time too many specific label
is annoying reader. That my opinion.
Hope will help you. _________________ http://hiburan-sukan4dhyip.blogspot.com/ |
