When setting up Blogger, I was trying to get my archives to show up on the sidebar on my main page using the

<BloggerArchives>
<a href='<$BlogArchiveURL$>'><$BlogArchiveName$>
</BloggerArchives>

tags, but the only thing that showed up was <$BlogArchiveName$>, and it was between the <Blogger> and </Blogger> tags, definitely. I've been fiddling with it for hours but I still can't get it to work. What am I doing wrong?

Here's how mine is coded. Maybe this will help. I think you need to close the <a href= with "</a>".

<ul>
<BloggerArchives>
<li><a href='<$BlogArchiveURL$>'><$BlogArchiveName$></a></li>
</BloggerArchives>
</ul>
