Excellent! I'm looking forward to digging through the list. This is one area of traffic building I've yet to really explore so I'm looking forward to it...

But I would like to add another site http://www.1888articles.com/ PR 5
the best thing is that the articles in this site gains PR faster than any other! really - it always gets first priority in my list - no doubt.
but the worst thing is that they do not give more than one link back that too without anchor text! |

I agree with EzineArticles, GoArticles, Buzzle, and Article Dashboard. iSnare isn't really a directory. It's an article submission site. I'm not familiar with some of the others that you mention. I'd say the top 3 are EzineArticles, GoArticles, and Article Dashboard. Buzzle is good for some topics, but not others.
ArticlesBase is pretty decent. If you get a chance check out Articles.pn. I own this one and we have a unique approach that allows users to network with each other and build a mini-site within the system to promote their articles, websites, and such.
I see that all the directories you mention are PR6. A high PR doesn't necessarily make it a good directory. It does mean they know how to market their website. But I would also look at traffic and how likely your article is to be picked up by publishers of websites and ezines related to yours.

Allen, Isnare is an article directory that offers an article distribution service.
This was a list of the top directories sorted by Pagerank. Of course there are other good directories out there. I happen to prefer SearchWap out of all the directories followed by Isnare.
When people look at directories, any kind of directories they offer look at pagerank and while I agree that pagerank does not always make the directory- users tend to turn to the more popular directories- in this case being Ezine, GoArticles, ArticleCity, SearchWarp and Isnare.

iSnare.com
SelfGrowth.com
Buzzle.com
ArticleCity.com
Are some of top ones based on Alexa ranking. My articles are picked up quite often.
