OK, I know it could be me, but I am at a loss. I migrated from Blogger to Wordpress.org using the easy import on Wordpress. After a few days I decided to leave my old posts on Blogger and start fresh on tumbledwords.com with Wordpress.org -- only because I can't understand the 301 redirect instructions I found.
Yesterday I spent forever on the Post Management page in Wordpress deleting one post after another individually, deleting 7 1/2 months worth of posts that I had imported.
Today they are back. Any clues what I did or didn't do? I would appreciate it. I experiment on my own as much as possible, but this threw me. Thanks.

When you deleted the post, did you do it manually - or through phpMyAdmin?
Not that it matters but just curious
It’s also very possible your host did a server restore of a backup and that’s why the post are back...have you checked with them to see if this is the case?
Because normally when deleting a post in WordPress there permanently gone and there is no way to retrieve them once deleted!
Rose deletes post from time to time and they never re-occur! That’s just spooky ~ ~ ~

I just lost my reply -- oops. I did not go into the host site, I went through wp-admin as I would to post or moderate comments. I used Post Management page and just started deleting individual posts. They would flash red and then disappear from the screen until there were none left on the page and I would choose another month and repeat. I know it sounds weird, I wish I had thought to capture the screen, not that I expected it to be weird. This is one of those times when I wish I could prove it really happened since it wasn't supposed to.
The next day or so I deleted just one post and it never came back.
I had planned on just leaving the old posts on the blogger version and starting from mid July on the Wordpress version since I couldn't figure out how to do the 301 direct I read about for New Blogger. That is why I tried to delete the majority of what I imported to Wordpress.
I suppose next week I will just start deleting them again. And no, I never thought about a host restoring. . though that sounds reasonable. Next ones I delete I am doing a capture!
